mindfulness, Meditation & WELLBEING

What is Mindfulness? One definition is 'living in the moment - maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of thoughts, feelings and surrounding environment.’ Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them - without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment.

The group explores the topics of mindfulness, meditation and wellbeing.

We do this by looking at the benefits of mindfulness (combating anxiety, worry, anger etc) and exploring mindful qualities, the mindful body and mind, mindful relationships and mindful eating. Each month we will try and carry out mindful exercises and include some meditation techniques such as mindful breathing.
